 JESSICA CHIANG

Jessica Chiang is a Ventura County based artist originally from the Bay Area, she works in photography, graphic design, and screen-printing. Her work history includes responsibilities with photo shoots, print ads, video editing, and web management for employers like: California State University Channel Islands, Iron & Resin, and other small local businesses. 

Her first love and primary passion was photography. J.Chiang Photography started in 2008, specializing in portraits, events, lifestyle fashion, and marketing. In 2010, Chiang completed a photography internship with National Geographic where she worked alongside photographers and marine biology experts, conducting photo shoots and creating photo essays. In 2013, Chiang participated in the California State University Summer Arts Program, learning from and working with renowned photographers including, John Sexton, Ed Kashi, and Darcy Padilla. Starting her senior year of college, she finished a year long internship with Iron and Resin; that transitioned into a full time position at the company. Chiang received a Bachelor's Degree in Art with an emphasis on Photography at California State University Channel Islands.

 

After three years with Iron and Resin, Chiang, took time to focus on her own artwork and what she wanted to be. She built out her own personal print studio (Fan Grl Press) while working freelance. Her journey in curating local art shows and creating art in Ventura County has since evolved during the pandemic.

New things are on the horizon for Jessica Chiang.
